Tarwin Lower is located South of Leongatha and Wonthaggi, about an hour and fifty minutes drive from Melbourne CBD via the M1 (South Eastern Freeway). Follow directions to Phillip Island (M420) through Cranbourne and Tooradin, following the Gippsland Highway. Continue on the Bass Highway (A420) and where the road to Phillip Island branches off to the right (at Anderson), continue towards Wonthaggi. In the centre of Wonthaggi turn left towards Inverloch (B460). Do not go into Inverloch but continue on the bypass, signposted Tarwin Lower and Venus Bay (C442). On reaching Tarwin Lower, bear right at the roundabout on River Drive towards Venus Bay. About 500m down River Drive, on the left hand side, you will see Tarwin River Motel (just before the pub!) Note: some electronic direction finders do not have our address stored. Try Evergreen Road or School Road, both nearby.
